Fals (Bronze, 20 mm, 1.84 g, 6 h), no mint, no date. ‘lā ilāh-a illā / Allāh waḥdahū lā / sharīka lahū’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him’ in Arabic); the marginal legend reads ‘qul lā asʾalukum ʿalayhi ajran illā al-mawaddata fi al-qurbā’ (‘Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my relatives’ in Arabic; Qurʾān 42: 23). Rev. ‘Muḥammad rasūl Allāh’ (‘Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); the marginal legend is the continuation of Qurʾān 42: 23: ‘wa man yaqtarif ḥasanatan nazid lahū fīhā ḥusnā inna Allāh ghafūrun shakūr’ (‘and whoever earns good, We add for him more of good therein; surely Allah is Forgiving, Grateful’ in Arabic)..
